What does it mean when my ex boyfriend asks about my new bf?

Okay so yesterday, my ex bf found out that i have a new bf and he got quite jealous (well, my friend told me this cuz she works with him) and today, I was on facebook, and then out of the blue, my ex talks to me he was asking me How was I, etc. and then he was asking me about my new boyfriend..he was asking questions like "Is he nice?", "Nicer than me?", "Is he a better kisser than me?" and at the end, he was like, "Well, if you need someone to talk to, just let me know. We are still friends"
