Why cant i get a job?

i was in the marines for 5 years, when my service was over i received honorable, in 25 years i have not even received a traffic ticket (thats the truth) ..i have a perfectly clean record, a high school diploma, ..i also have a secret security clearance, i also went and got my level 3 security certification, ....i got out of the marines in 2009, and still unemployed......i have applied to 17 different police departments, i got 2 interviews out of it...after both interviews, they sent me letters saying "they hired someone else"....then i applied to L.A. police...they didnt even let me get to the interview stage because of affirmative action..im white, so the odds are against me i know.....i applied to the secret service....passed the test, took an interview, passed that, did a panel interview, passed that, took a polygraph, then they scheduled me for another polygraph, and then i think theyve dropped me from the process since i haventheard from them in over a year...i applied to dozens of security companies to be an armed or unarmed guard, 1 call back, i did an interview, then they said everythings good, then never called me back...i called them back and they say "if we need u we will call u"....i applied to the terrel tx jail as a corrections officer, a few weeks after i applied i called them to see if thery were considering me, they said they lost my application....so i turned in another one, and they are giving me the runaround again now....i applied to the van zandt corrections, they sent me to take a drug test, pshyc eval, and physical, then when i did all that, i called them to ask whats next, and they hired someone else and told me no.......now i have to go to these special places that help crackheads, criminals, and homeless people find work, and tell them i need help too....i am a U.S. Marine, I fought in Iraq, and now i sit between a criminal and a crackhead in a lobby and wait to be called to the front so i can tell them my info so they can put me to work somewhere.....its sad, really.
